Family Resources
One of the greatest challenges any community faces is to offer hope to a child or adolescent who is suffering from a mental health problem – mental, emotional or behavioral problems that often we cannot see, much less understand.

The children and adolescents at the San Diego Center for Children know what it feels like to confront these challenges. They know what it feels like not to have their basic needs met – they question if anything they do even matters as they struggle to find their place in society.

Our highly-skilled team of dedicated professionals knows how to reverse destructive behavior and restore a child’s and an adolescent’s greatest hope – to regain a healthy and normal life complete with family, friends, school, and routine.

When children and adolescents do not get the help they need at the earliest possible opportunity in their development, they are at greater risk of becoming a long-term statistic in the social services or juvenile court system, or even worse, a casualty of the streets.

Discover how we heal the hearts and minds of children, adolescents, and their families and care givers.
