Our foster care therapeutic program, FFAST, hosted a wonderful parent training and support meeting!
Biological and foster parents from all San Diego County Family Foster Agencies (FFA’s) were invited to hear a dynamic presentation from Cheyenne Cyr about “Helping Others Understand What it is Like to Have Autism”. Our FFAST team saw Cheyenne’s presentation as a great opportunity for parents to hear from someone first-hand about their experiences, and how they can apply lessons learned with their own children.
We thank Cheyenne for her insightful presentation and all parents who attended. Additionally, kudos to our FFAST team for hosting these important trainings each month along with picnic style dinners for families to interact, and additionally childcare by our skilled staff where foster children have opportunities to enhance their social skills in large and small group dynamics.
