2016 is the 4th year that the San Diego Center for Children will participate in Champions for Youth (formerly Birdies for Charities): a partnership with The Century Club and Farmers Insurance through the Farmers Insurance Open PGA Tour held at the Torrey Pines Golf Course January 27-31, 2016. Farmers Cares provides a $250,000 bonus pool to allow donors to the 12 participating charities to leverage their giving.
The Center will receive 100% of all donations made through this program. Additionally, the Center may receive up to $45,000 from the bonus pool – which is determined by the total amount raised by the nonprofit. In summary, the more money raised through this program, the more of the bonus pool the Center will receive!
It is easy to participate. Just click below to make your donation by January 31:
- Farmers Insurance and the Century Club have contributed to a “funds pool” of $250,000
- While each and every dollar will come to the San Diego Center for Children in full (no administrative or credit card fees), the more donations we receive, the bigger portion of the $250,000 pool we receive!
- The charity raising the greatest amount in donations has the potential to receive up to $45,000 for their organization.
Thanks to our generous donors and our Iris Auxiliary, this event has helped the Center raise more than $100,000 and we have been able to fund: Camp Able, Iris Sensory Room, recreational therapy programs, events for our foster children, and purchase a transport van.
