It’s official… thanks to your help, we WON the IKEA USA Life Improvement Challenge! This means IKEA San Diego will be giving our Clark Kitchen a complete makeover this summer (a value of up to $10,000!)
The Clark Adolescent Treatment Program (named after friends of the Center, Jack and Carol Clark) houses 30 teens, ages 13-18, who have such acute need for therapeutic care that they are living away from home in order to get the intensive level of care they need to regain their health and happiness. This communal kitchen in a BUSY place that serves many purposes: a place to learn how to cook, discover a passion in the kitchen, eat together as a “family,” and even prepare some for potential career skills!
The entire Clark building renovation project is made possible through the generous lead gift by Jack and Carol Clark and many other committed donors to this key program for at-risk youth.
THANK YOU to IKEA, the Clarks, and everyone who voted during the IKEA Life Improvement Challenge…we look forward to posting “after” pictures of our new + improved kitchen this summer!
