We are so proud of Brian* for taking first place during San Diego Live Well’s Young Master Chef Competition! Brian, a resident in our Clark Adolescent Treatment Program, competed against other kids from various residential programs throughout the county in a “Farm-to-Table” themed competition.
Using only locally grown ingredients, and having to adhere to specific calorie and dietary guidelines, Brian invested hours preparing for the competition. He visited a local farm, checked out a farmers’ markets and even worked with a local chef, Mike Ground of Cucina Urbana to perfect his entree.
