Urban Beats

Urban Beats is an innovative artistic expression program for Transitional Age Youth (TAY). Through
creating and delivering artistic productions and TAY-focused social media messaging, Urban Beats aims to enhance self-sufficiency and increase TAY engagement in behavioral health treatment. Urban Beats utilizes strengths identification and artistic self-expression to fight the stigma related to mental illness and promote youth self-empowerment and improve wellness.

Mental Health America of San Diego County: Visions Clubhouse

Visions Clubhouse is a client-operated rehabilitation and vocational center offering self-help support groups, life skills, social activities, vocational and pre-vocational training, and psycho-social rehabilitation to individuals with mental illness.

Impact Young Adults

Impact Young Adults’ mission is to enrich the lives of young adults ages 18-35 with mental illness, with experiences of acceptance, personal growth, and accomplishment. We use a peer-run model to create a supportive community with social activities, mentoring, and leadership opportunities.

Union of Pan Asian Communities: Transition Age Youth Biopsychosocial Rehabilitation Program and Clubhouse

The Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC) is a nationally recognized non-profit organization, offering multicultural, multilingual, comprehensive physical and mental health services to Asian, Pacific Islander and other ethnic communities. The program provides social education, vocational and community reintegration for clients recovering from mental health issues.

Neighborhood House Association: Friendship Clubhouse

Friendship Clubhouse strives to create a safe, supportive environment that is sensitive to each member’s unique needs. Friendship Clubhouse focuses on socialization, social and independent living skills enhancement, wellness and recovery, recreation and vocational rehabilitation. The goal of Friendship Clubhouse is the empowerment of members to re-establish their normal roles in the community and to successfully re-integrate into community life through active participation in the planning and achievement of their personal recovery goals. Friendship Clubhouse members can choose how often they attend the program and in which activities they participate. Membership in the program is not a prerequisite to attend program activities or benefit from its services.

Community Research Foundation: East Corner Clubhouse

East Corner Clubhouse operates on the work ordered day model where activities related to the operation of the program are utilized as opportunities for member participation, training, and recovery. The program is member directed and membership is life-long. At East Corner Clubhouse, different functions necessary for the program’s operation are divided into departments. All tasks are completed voluntarily by members who learn through experience and practice. In addition to certain necessary departments, East Corner Clubhouse offers training and work experience in other work areas as requested by the membership whenever possible. All staff is dedicated to the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation and actively partnering with the members to achieve their personal goals. The clubhouses provide services in a culturally sensitive manner.
