2nd Avenue Transitional Housing For Single Men, San Diego Rescue Mission

Transitional Housing for single men for up to 24 months. Clients must be earning a permanent taxable income and be willing to complete thirty hours per week of work, school, or other structured activity in the community. Clients are required to pay a bed fee of 30% of their income and to save 30% of their income on a monthly basis.

Clients also participate in intensive weekly case management.

STEPS Program, Salvation Army

Provides a comprehensive employment/transitional living program for homeless men. Clients must be alcohol and drug free and be willing to work full-time. Services include one-on-one case management; job-related preparation with accompanying workshops; employment counseling involving interest and aptitude testing, screening, case planning, budgeting, career development, and weekly follow-up for 9 weeks regarding employment retention; and active job development and job search assistance. The transitional housing supportive services include food and clothing, grooming facilities and supplies, and transportation in the form of bus tokens/passes. Referrals for other support services are provided if necessary.

Areta Crowell Wellness Recovery Center’s services are based on the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation, with emphasis on attending to the whole person and re-establishing one’s life as a result of the consequences of mental illness, rather than simply attending to the symptoms of the illness. The services focus on recovery, rehabilitation, and community integration, and are individualized to meet the needs of each client. Clients actively participate in setting service plan goals and are encouraged to involve family and significant others in the recovery plan.

UPAC: Problem Gambling Prevention Program

UPAC’s Problem Gambling Program provides education, workshops, counseling, and treatment to interested groups, professionals, and gamblers at no cost to prevent problem gambling.

Safe Transitions for Women

Sober Living Home for women and children in San Diego-Tierrasanta, an upscale 6 bed facility with a private pool, transportation, and child care. We connect women with sober women, outpatient treatment providers, and AA/NA. Our House Manager lives onsite with 27 years of sobriety, a degree in social work and is trained in alcohol & drug studies. We provide supportive role models for recovery and a life of health and balance.

UCSD Co-Occurring Disorders Program

The Co-Occurring Disorders (COD) Treatment Program at UC San Diego Health System provides intensive integrated services for individuals with co-occurring substance abuse and other mental disorders. Services are provided by a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists and mental health professionals in training.

North County Serenity House Residential Treatment

North County Serenity House serves women & women with children who wish to recover from drug or alcohol dependence. We also recognize the importance of serving those clients with co-occurring mental health issues. Our programs utilize a strong basis in the 12-Step traditions to help our women establish a stable, lasting base of support as they begin their journey of recovery. NCSH Center is a 120 bed residential facility that serves women & women with children who wish to recover from drug or alcohol dependence.
