When to Refer

The criteria for admission to SDCC’s continuum of services vary by program and level of care.  SDCC offers a full continuum of mental health treatment, whether the youth is seeking treatment for the first time or needing a more intensive level of care.

Outpatient Treatment – we offer individual and family therapy, as well as psychological assessments, to children and adolescents at our outpatient clinic, with options for telehealth.

Intensive Outpatient Services – we offer an IOP for adolescents ages 13-18 that meets three times per week after school for three hours.  We also are developing a PHP, which will provide 5 days of intensive treatment, Monday through Friday, and is set to begin in January 2023.

In Home Services – we provide intensive services in homes and communities to families needing more support using a wraparound model of care.  In this program, there is a team of professionals who work with each family to provide coaching and therapy multiple times per week.

Residential Treatment – this program offers 24 hour/7days a week care for youth who are experiencing mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges.  A treatment team provides a range of services including psychiatry, therapy, and schooling.
