County Medical Services (CMS)

A program that funds medical care for uninsured indigent adult county residents. While not a health insurance program, County Medical Services funds services through a network of community health centers, private physicians and hospitals.

Eligibility:

(1) have immediate or long term medical need (2) be 21-64 years of age (3) be a U.S citizen or an eligible alien, with supportive documentation (4) a resident of San Diego County (5) Sign lien forms for services covered by CMS (6) meet CMS financial requirements or receive general relief.
