Vista Hill: Sober Living and Geisel House

(858) 514-5100

Recognizing that a stable home environment is essential to successful recovery from substance abuse, Vista Hill found a solution by acquiring a 26-unit apartment complex in 2000. Operating as a sober living environment, the Vista Hill Sober Living Apartments provide transitional housing in a safe and sober environment in the Lemon Grove community.

Services:

Offers a stable living situation. The Geisel Activity Center is adjacent to the Vista Hill Apartments. It offers a warm, home-like setting for client community meetings, support groups and social gatherings. Behind the Center, the backyard is set up like a small park with a patio, walkway and multi-station play structure for kids.

Payment Options:

Generous donations by individuals, foundations and grants often enable Vista Hill to offer a subsidized apartment to qualified clients. As our clients progress in recovery and achieve independence, they move toward total responsibility by paying non-subsidized rent. We have some clients who have graduated from treatment, completed aftercare and continue to reside in the complex at full rent.

Eligibility:

Vista Hill Sober Living Apartments are specifically for clients who successfully complete defined treatment milestones at any Parent Care Family Recovery Center. Clients must fully complete the written application (available at our treatment facilities) and show proof of income to determine if a subsidy is warranted. After review by the treatment staff, applicants are notified about their application status.
