YWCA of San Diego County empowers women, men, and children to break the cycle of domestic violence and homelessness, and achieve self-sufficiency. YWCA is committed to helping families recover from trauma, improve their economic status, find permanent housing and ultimately transform their lives.

Services:

Transitional living program for women and their children escaping domestic violence (Becky's House), transitional living program for homeless women seeking self-sufficiency, transitional living program for homeless families (Cortez Hill Family Center), case management, legal services (The YWCA legal team provides assistance with domestic violence related legal matters, such as restraining orders, divorce, child custody, immigration services and child and spousal support. If you or someone you know is in need of legal assistance, visit one of our free walk-in legal clinics. First come, first serve; no appointment is necessary.)

Varies by program. Most require one to be seeking refuge from domestic violence and/or homelessness.
