North County Lifeline’s mission is to build self-reliance among youth, individuals and families through problem solving, skill-building and accessible community-based services.

North County Lifeline: LifeSpring House

The LifeSpring House and Apartments provide transitional housing for young people turning 18 and aging out of the foster care system. We provide housing for up to two years for young adults ages 18-24 as they cross the bridge between foster living and full independence. Life Spring also helps support residents’ young families with housing, as well as employment and financial goals.

Operation Samahan: Youth to Youth Center

The mission of the Youth 2 Youth Center (Y2Y) is to empower youth to make healthy decisions for themselves through guidance, education, and access to services. We provide community education and awareness to the youth aged 12-24 living in the South Bay area of San Diego with strategies to motivate and help change attitudes and behaviors, that will help provide a sense of belonging and security. We provide education and enrichment for students to achieve academic success and ongoing counseling and resources that deal with youth delinquency and substance abuse.

Partnerships With Industry (PWI) was established in 1985, to provide supported employment opportunities to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities living in San Diego County. Since that time, PWI has opened three additional offices, strategically placed to serve the entire county, and has helped 11,000 individuals find employment and thrive in a work environment.

Providence Community Services: Oasis Clubhouse

The Oasis Clubhouse is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Members and visitors are welcome to drop in any time during business hours. Tours of the Clubhouse are also available by appointment for visitors or new members. The Oasis Clubhouse is member-run and our dynamic programming targets the unique needs of Transition Age Youth.

San Diego Community College District: College 2 Career

College to Career (C2C) at San Diego Community College District is a three-year program for students with intellectual disabilities (ID) to obtain academic and vocational training at the City College, Mesa, Miramar College and the Continuing Education campuses.  It serves three cohorts of twenty students annually and is one of five cooperative C2C programs with the California Department of Rehabilitation.  The goal of the program is to provide students with tools needed to complete college coursework and prepare for competitive, integrated employment.  Areas of focus include college success, life management and employment related strategies.

San Diego County Regional Occupational Program

The San Diego County Regional Occupational Program (ROP) provides occupational training courses to help individuals acquire entry level job skills, upgrade or retrain, and/or prepare for advanced technical training. ROP Centers provide information about courses. Services include training in job seeking/keeping skills. Program duration for typical successful client may be up to 1 year.
