National Foundation for Autism Research: Technical and Vocational Training Programs

NFAR is now offering technical training programs specifically designed to advance technical skills for teens and young adults with autism. These programs combine instructor-lead, hands-on training with real life applications, helping to build confidence, expertise and experiences that can lead to careers within the ever-growing and important field of software testing, computer programming and other technical professions.

Services:

Skills attainment and vocational training for the technical industry in a hands-on learning environment, similar to a typical tech office work environment.

Payment Options:

Cost varies by program. Financial assistance is available.

Eligibility:

Teen program: Youth with autism ages 13-22 who are interested in computers and technology, and are able to follow instructions in an open classroom setting and seek help when needed. Adult Program: Adults with autism age 18 and up who have completed high school or a GED, and are able to follow instructions in an open classroom setting and seek help when needed.
