Dear Friends and Supporters,
Thank you for choosing the San Diego Center for Children.
With the support of the community, San Diego Center for Children has been providing hope and healing hearts and minds for over 136 years. As San Diego’s oldest nonprofit serving the needs of children and youth, the Center has evolved to become a nationally accredited organization supporting children and families struggling with mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges.
Today, we employ over 375 culturally- and trauma-informed team members who serve the needs of over 1,000 youth and families every day across 8 program sites and within hundreds of homes, schools and communities throughout San Diego County.
Our unique and comprehensive continuum of services provides a range of evidence-based, individualized mental health care and educational services to children and families of all backgrounds.
The challenges of the past few years have unveiled and magnified the pediatric mental health crisis our communities had already been experiencing. The need for the services the Center provides has never been greater as we see not only more youth impacted, but also an increase in the severity of the conditions we treat. We are grateful for the support we receive as we redouble our efforts to provide quality, responsive and accessible care to the many youth and families in need.
Together we must create the necessary change to have a lasting impact on the needs of the community we serve; our children and youth deserve this.
Sincerely,
Moisés Barón, Ph.D.
President & CEO
