Founded in 1887, the Center is the oldest children’s nonprofit organization in the San Diego region. Today, the Center is a leader in providing therapeutic, educational, foster care and transition services to over 1,000 children and families every day in San Diego County. We offer many programs through our Continuum of Behavioral Healthcare for children struggling with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders.

Our Team
The Center employs over 350 professionals and has grown into one of San Diego’s most trusted organizations in the behavioral and mental health care field. As a trauma-informed organization, we strive to understand and meet the important needs of children and families we serve through excellence, collaboration and compassion.
