San Diego Youth and Family Services: Counseling Cove

Under the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA), Counseling Cove is a Full Service Partnership (FSP) Program. As such, staff comprehensively address client and family needs and “does whatever it takes” to meet those needs. Efforts to locate and engage homeless and runaway youth for the purpose of increasing access to mental health services starts with the Rehab Outreach Team utilizing the Assertive Outreach Best Practices Model. Counseling Cove utilizes the Comprehensive, Continuous, Integrated System of Care (CCISC) Model for persons with co-occurring disorders and the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Model for persons with Acute Stress Disorder and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.

San Diego Youth Services: Family and Youth Partner Program

The Partners Program serves to assist youth up to age 21 with serious emotional disturbances and their families who are currently receiving outpatient mental health treatment. Family and Youth Support Partners work with families who are in need of additional supports and linkage to other services and community resources. Services are provided in both home and clinic settings, whichever is preferred by the family. Services are coordinated with the referring/treating clinician.

San Diego Youth Services: Teen Options

Our goal is to provide services that will support pregnant and parenting young women (ages 12-17) to gain sobriety and deliver a health, drug-free baby, while increasing their knowledge of child development, parenting and life skills. The Teen Options program works collaboratively with other community partners to ensure that all participants have resources for pre/post-natal health care, education/employment and housing.

San Ysidro Health Center: Euclid Family Counseling Center

The San Ysidro Behavioral Health Team is comprised of professionally-trained, experienced, culturally-competent and compassionate staff members who focus on meeting the needs of patients, both, culturally and linguistically. The multi-disciplinary team is comprised of Board Certified Psychiatrists, Licensed Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Doctoral Psychology Interns and Social Work Interns. Services are provided in both English and Spanish. The Behavioral Health Team is fully integrated into SYHC’s primary care clinics.
