WorldBeat Center

As a non-profit multi-cultural arts organization we are dedicated to promoting, presenting & preserving the African & Indigenous cultures of the world through Music, Art, Dance, Education & Technology. We are located in beautiful Balboa Park in the heart of San Diego, California. Through consciousness raising the WorldBeat Center promotes peace within our San Diego community by providing on going programs and services that nurture the spirit of children, the elderly, and everyone in between. Our main goal is then to create unity within diversity.

YMCA: Independent Living Skills Program

The Independent Living Skills program (ILS) is a county-funded program designed to prepare and assist current and former foster youth through their transition from the foster care system into independence.

YMCA/ YFS Connections 2020

Connections 2020 assists underrepresented young adults (ages 18-24) throughout San Diego by enhancing their relational skills and improving their financial stability. Connections 2020 also offers Relational Wellness and Work Readiness Classes in addition to one-on-one coaching and case management to help participants achieve their goals.
