Mental Health America of San Diego County
Inspired by the courage of our national organization, the Mental Health America of San Diego County was founded in 1942 as the first mental health advocacy organization in San Diego County. MHA brings together clients, families, professionals, providers, community leaders and the public to collaborate, cooperate and ensure available, affordable care to all citizens.

Mental Health Systems: East County Center for Change
East County Center for Change is the case management and treatment provider for San Diego’s North County Division Adult Drug Court. We work collaboratively with other members of the Drug Court Team, who include the Judge, court support staff, District Attorney, Public Defender, and law enforcement liaison officers. As the treatment provider on the Drug Court Team, we help our clients achieve success in living a productive life that is free of criminal activity. Our treatment services offer group and individual counseling, and our case management services provide for mental health, education, employment and community referral needs.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
At the heart of NAMI San Diego’s mission is the sharing of information and striving to end the stigma associated with mental illness. To this end, we offer a Helpline, support groups, educational meetings, newsletters, a lending library and a number of classes on mental illness held at various locations throughout San Diego County.

Neighborhood House Association: Friendship Clubhouse
Friendship Clubhouse strives to create a safe, supportive environment that is sensitive to each member’s unique needs. Friendship Clubhouse focuses on socialization, social and independent living skills enhancement, wellness and recovery, recreation and vocational rehabilitation. The goal of Friendship Clubhouse is the empowerment of members to re-establish their normal roles in the community and to successfully re-integrate into community life through active participation in the planning and achievement of their personal recovery goals. Friendship Clubhouse members can choose how often they attend the program and in which activities they participate. Membership in the program is not a prerequisite to attend program activities or benefit from its services.

New Haven Youth & Family Services: Center for Community Connections
Community Connections offers supportive services (such as transportation, childcare, and interview attire), counseling, and educational and vocational assistance. The center is open Monday through Saturday, and young adults drop in or attend scheduled workshops and individualized tutoring. They also enjoy the basketball court, weight room, movie theater, computers, and special events.

New Haven Youth and Family Services: Transitional Living Program
At New Haven, we recognize that many of our aging out youth face limited options that could jeopardize their healthy growth. Our transitional living program helps young men gain necessary independence, resources and work skills. Our homes are in proximity to North County colleges for this program to allow the young men to work, live, and grow in an environment that offers them stability as they continue their journey into adulthood.
